Veteran Punjabi Actress Daljeet Kaur dies in Ludhiana on Thursday after a prolonged illness, She was 69.

She had been determined to have a neurological issue and had moved to Ludhiana from Mumbai 12 years ago.

Daljeet was living with her cousin Harjinder Singh Khangura in Ludhiana's Gurusar Sudhar region for the past couple of years.

According to the relatives, Daljeet Kaur was in a deep coma (profound trance state) for the past one year.

Daljeet Kaur acted in 10 Hindi and 70 Punjabi films, including 'Saida Jogan' (1979), 'Putt Jattan De' (1983), etc.

Daljeet Kaur was born in 1953 in Siliguri, West Bengal, in a business family and hailing from Aitiana village in Ludhiana.

Daljeet Kaur finished her graduation from Woman Shri Smash School for Ladies, Delhi and She was also a Kabaddi and hockey player.

Actress Daljeet Kaur completed an acting course at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.

Daljeet Kaur entered the entertainment world in 1976 with the Punjabi film "Daaj" and never looked back.

Tarlochan Singh, director and actor, said Kaur’s contribution to the Punjabi film industry will always be remembered.
